Top 10 Fall/Winter 2010-2011 Makeup Trends

Hello everyone!

This is my first post on my blog. Hope you enjoy!

Makeup trends this fall/winter offer a lot of variety whether it be sultry smokey eyes or vibrant lipcolors to create  unique compelling  looks meant to bring forth your femininity . While smokey eyes and the classic red lips are always in vogue, fall colors and neutral makeup paired with flawless polished skin were a rage on the runway this fall, winter.  Even though the holiday season is almost over we still have 2 months of winter to play around with a variety of looks before the spring summer collection brings us some more colorful trends to experiment with.

Here are the top 10 trends this season picked up from the fall winter 2010-2011 shows.

1) NEUTRAL NUDE LOOK

Neutral or nude or natural makeup can never go out of fashion. Some makeup artists say that the natural look is the hardest to achieve! While the natural look looks best in the day it could be paired up with a brighter pink or light red lipstick for an evening look.

Seen where : Burberry Prorsum, Marc Jacobs, Fendi, Rag&Bone, Prada and Nina Ricci.

Whether it be orange reds or deep plums, bold lips are a hot trend this fall/winter.  Colors to go for this season are orange red, classic red, deep red, plums, berry shades, burgundy, chocolate shades, blackcurrant and purple shades for those who can pull it off. Regardless of your skin tone, there is at least 1 shade of red that will suit you.  Clear matte skin and minimal eye makeup go best with bold lips though it can also be paired with a smokey eye for special occasions.

However, it can also be worn with a bold lipcolor for a special occasion.

Hair is sleek and smooth with more often than not, tied back or up. Waves ,curls and messy hairdos are out replaced by silky and straight hair.
