Spring/Summer Look#2 : Turquoise blue and forest green eye makeup for day/evening
Hi everyone!
This is look #2 of my Spring/Summer Look Book. Look #1 was Everyday makeup using colored liners.
Blue and green and my favorite shades for bright spring/summer eye makeup. For this look, I have paired a very popular color this season- turquoise blue, with forest green for the eyes with nude lips for the daytime and plum lips for the evening.
On a well moisturized face, apply foundation ,set it with compact and apply bronzer on cheeks. For the eyes, pair a turquoise blue eyeshadow with dark green( outer half of lid) and pair this with nude lips for the daytime and glam it up with plum lips for the evening.
I have kept the turquoise shade intense only on the inner half of lid and blended it out with dark green to keep the look subtle and wearable.
This is the final look (with nude lips )

Spring/Summer Look #1 Quick everyday look with colored liners
Hi everyone!
I am compiling a Spring/Summer Look Book featuring a series of looks and tutorials for this season. These will be my interpretations of the Spring/Summer 2011 makeup trends and will be covering looks suited for different occasions – from light daytime looks to evening party looks.
Inspired by the colorful trends this season, I have already done looks with
These will be added to my Spring/Summer 2011 Look Book along with other looks that I will be doing in the coming days.
Hope you enjoy reading 🙂
The #1 look is a super quick everyday look which is pretty much everyone’s on-the-go makeup but with the added pop of a brightly colored liner. This season is all about bright colors- orange, fuchsia, turquoise, lime green and the list goes on. While black and brown are great colors for everyday lining of the eyes, they look very ‘regular‘. Adding a brightly colored liner instantly glams up your whole look without much of an effort.
Colors to look out for are brighter shades of blue ,green & purple.
On a well moisturized face, apply tinted moisturizer or light foundation, line upper lash line with black/brown pencil liner and apply a bright colored liner(turquoise, ice blue, parrot green, teal, purple, silver/gold) on the lower lash line ( or alternatively, bright liner on upper lash and kajal on lower lash line) and finish off the look with a little bronzer/blush and tinted lip balm/gloss.
Products used to create this look :
FACE: MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation NC 40 , Chambor Silver shadow compact ‘RR2 Rose Pale’ , Revlon Colorstay ‘Mineral finishing Powder #30 Sunkiss Radieux’ (bronzer)
LIPS : Nivea fruity shine lip balm ‘Pomegranate’
EYES :
- Chambor Dazzle eye pencil ‘Black’ (the ‘regular’ black liner) [For lining upper lash line ]
- Maxfactor ‘Ice blue’ liner [on lower lash line]
- Lotus herbals kajal(water line)
- Chambor Dazzle eye pencil ‘Black’ (the ‘regular’ black liner) [For lining upper lash line ]
- Maybelline Vivid and smooth ‘Olive green’ (lower lash line)
- Lotus herbals kajal(water line)
- Chambor Dazzle eye pencil ‘Teal’
- Lotus herbals kajal(water line)

Swatches of colored liner- L-R: Chambor dazzle(black), Maxfactor (ice blue), Maybelline(olive green), Chambor dazzle(teal)
Maybelline Vivid and Smooth, Chambor Dazzle, Maxfactor Kohl Pencil and Bourjois Kohl and contour pencils have really good shades + decent staying power.

Soft green smokey eye FOTD using BeYu eyeshadow single
Hi everyone!
This is a soft green smokey eye look I did today using BeYu eyeshadow single #114 . I have paired this eye makeup with peachy pink blush with a little bronzer on the cheekbones and a peach-brown lipstick.
Green color by itself is symbolic of nature, life and freshness. When worn as eye liners or shadows green/blue shades add a pop of color to the face and are a welcome change from the monotony of black/brown/grey liners.
I’d been looking for a forest green shade without any yellow/grey/khaki undertone and my search ended at the BeYu counter where I found the perfect green I’d been looking for. Its a vibrant true forest green shade with frost finish.
This is the final look –
EYES :
Products used :
1. BeYu eye base (not shown in picture)
2. Revlon eye liner crayon ‘black’
3. BeYu single eye shadow #114 (forest green shade)
4. Maybelline chai latte quad (for crease color and highlighter)
4. Lotus herbals kajal
5. Maybelline colossal volume mascara
6. Faces eye shadow brush
Steps :
1. Apply eye primer all over lid upto the brow.
2. Apply black crayon pencil all over lid and smudge using third finger.
3. Apply green eye shadow shade all over lid.
4. Using a fluffy brush , apply dark brown shade to crease and blend.
5. Apply highlight shade under brow bone and blend with crease color using some loose powder.
6. Apply kajal on waterline. Using angular/smudging brush loaded with the green eye shadow, smudge the kajal onto the lower lash line.
7. Lastly, apply mascara to upper and lower lashes.

For the lips I have mixed 2 shades here : Maybelline moisture extreme ‘Chocolate Temptation‘(light brown with pink/peach undertone) and Chambor Truly lasting ‘Truly brownsugar ‘(true brown shade)

Products used for lips : Maybelline moisture extreme 'CHOCOLATE TEMPTATION', Chambor truly lasting 'TRULY BROWNSUGAR'

The final look (the green is more pigmented than how it appears here)
I find darker shades of green very flattering for dark hair/dark eyes combination. For a more colorful and bold look- wear lime green+dark green combo or green+blue combo on the eyes. A soft dark green smokey eye with dark brown on the outer corner and crease is something that’ll suit everyone and a great way to sport a subtle yet colorful eye makeup.

'My pink lipsticks'- Swatches and FOTDs (updated)
Hi everyone!
Recently I did a post on my pink lipstick collection HERE. Since then, there have been a few additions, thanks to all the recommendations by Natasha 🙂
1. Bourjois Sweet kiss lipstick ‘Rose delicat’
This is a muted medium cool toned pink. Read my review HERE.
2. Lotus Herbals pure color ‘Peach creme’
This is not a true peach but a reddish-pink peach hence included in the ‘pink’ category.
3. Lotus Herbals pure color ‘Pink Blush’
This is a deep rose pink shade- very flattering shade which would suit all skin tones.
4. Chambor powder matte ‘Coral Reef’
This is also a deep rose pink shade – very similar to Pink blush above but more intense and pigmented.
5. Revlon super lustrous ‘Plumalicious’
This is a true plum color with a metallic sheen which is appearing almost maroon in the pictures. Not technically a pink but I include it in anyway.
6.Chambor silk touch ‘Silk Star’
This is a shade somewhere between violet and pink- a little more violet than Revlon ‘Grape Juice’. Not a shade I would wear everyday but a good one to own if you’d like to wear a pink-violet shade.
With these additions to the lipsticks in my earlier post HERE, updated collection-

This is a makeup storage box I got free with Lotus herbals purchase of more than Rs 500. I found it a little tacky at first but its quite useful actually. It is quite sturdy and comes with a large mirror inside . I use this box to store my lipstick.
