'My pink lipsticks'- Swatches and FOTDs (updated)
Hi everyone!
Recently I did a post on my pink lipstick collection HERE. Since then, there have been a few additions, thanks to all the recommendations by Natasha 🙂
1. Bourjois Sweet kiss lipstick ‘Rose delicat’
This is a muted medium cool toned pink. Read my review HERE.

2. Lotus Herbals pure color ‘Peach creme’
This is not a true peach but a reddish-pink peach hence included in the ‘pink’ category.

3. Lotus Herbals pure color ‘Pink Blush’
This is a deep rose pink shade- very flattering shade which would suit all skin tones.

4. Chambor powder matte ‘Coral Reef’
This is also a deep rose pink shade – very similar to Pink blush above but more intense and pigmented.

5. Revlon super lustrous ‘Plumalicious’
This is a true plum color with a metallic sheen which is appearing almost maroon in the pictures. Not technically a pink but I include it in anyway.

6.Chambor silk touch ‘Silk Star’
This is a shade somewhere between violet and pink- a little more violet than Revlon ‘Grape Juice’. Not a shade I would wear everyday but a good one to own if you’d like to wear a pink-violet shade.

This is a makeup storage box I got free with Lotus herbals purchase of more than Rs 500. I found it a little tacky at first but its quite useful actually. It is quite sturdy and comes with a large mirror inside . I use this box to store my lipstick.

I’m so glad you like Silk Star, its a rather un-conventional shade. I’ll check out Make me pink. I don’t think Maybelline gel liner is discontinued- maybe out-of-stock for a while. This is a major problem with Maybelline- I’ve been looking for ‘Hooked on Pink’ and ‘Buff’ lipstick shades since a long time but its always out-of-stock here in Mumbai. Any reccos for peach and brown shades? I have a few browns but I want some nice peach shades.

i love coral reef and peach creme 🙂 i recently got bourjois sweet kiss shade 7…i ithnk its called framboise ardent….though was looking for fuschia ardent but it was out of stock 🙂
Chambor powder matte has such amazing coverage! I’m definitely picking up more shades. Bourjois sweet kiss #7 is really pretty.I think its framboise exquise(?). Its a little more vibrant than #8, I’d been very confused between the 2 and picked up #8 finally. Which one is fuchsia ardent?
I like peach creme very much too. 🙂 Its the only peach-pink lipstick I own right now.
yes ankita. chambor mattes truly have amazing coverage. i reach out for them the most. is 7 more vibrant than 8? relly? n that case i am happy i got 7 coz i wanted a deep shade in bourjois sweet kiss as i alreqady have one of thier lightest-peche voluptuse.
there is fuschia ardent and a rose imbibe too…i forget if its the purple case packing or the beige case packing…but will check out ina day or 2 n let u know….fuchia is hardly a fuchia…more rosy pinky but lovely…i guess always out of stock….wil let u know abot that one too when i buy it 🙂
Ya 8 is the quite muted compared to 7. 2,3,4 were quite peachish and I think 5,6,7,8 were more pinkish. I think the fuchsia one might be from the purple casing range. I think either 5 or 6 is ‘Rose tendre’, 6 is ‘Framboise exquise’ and 8 is ‘Rose delicat’. 1 is the deep red one. I don’t have a single proper fuchsia till now..was tempted by Revlon CB fuchsia but it’s a shade I’m rarely going to wear.

‘hooked on pink’ and ‘buff’ were out of stock! I’ve checked 3 times at 2 diff places! Though the SA told me buff is similar to coral pink.
i have been dweeling over buying “pink blush” but can’t seem to decide….doesn’t it make the lips look a bit dull? i mean compared to peach creme…peach creme makes m glow like anything!
Oh not at all. I really like pink blush. Its quite similar to Coral reef- coral reef is just a tad pinker, more intense with full coverage. Pink blush is moisturizing so the coverage is lesser than coral reef but otherwise- very slight difference in color. You’re right about peach creme though- it does give that glow! I recently did my 17 yr old cousin’s makeup for her farewell function and I used peach creme on her- it looked beautiful!

I liked both the lotus herbals lippies. I’ve never bought makeup from that brand for some reason. Should explore it more.
This was my first purchase from Lotus too..apart from its kajal which is my favorite. You should give these lipsticks a try. They are good texture and decent lasting power and priced very reasonably too..somewhere around 200-225 Rs.

Try at least 1 lipstick from Chambor- either Powder matte range or Silk Touch. You’d really like them.

Same here:) Brique Rose, Rose fresque , Rose fantaisie , Coral reef from Powder matte range, Silk rose, Silk pop and Silk Coral from Silk Touch range. These are the pink/coral shades I know..there may be a few more. I have Silk woods(nude shade) and Silk Star(violet-pink) from the Silk Touch range. You can also try the lipstick+gloss Duo from Chambor. It contains a small lipstick and a small gloss of coordinating color.
I’d love to see swatches of Syrup, could you put those up sometime?

i guess silk star comes most close… only that silk star has kinda lavender undertone… silk star and grape juice lookin very similar in swathes..are they in real?
Silk star has a strong violet undertone while Grape juice is more pink than purple. They do look different on the lips..grape juice looks like a deep pink as compared to Silk star which appears violet-pink.
I thought it was more ‘rosy’ than lavender 😀 I went looking for Etude eye shadows but didn’t find them anywhere..among that range VOV and Marie Claire are the only ones around these days.
actualy i meant that only… these come close BUT they have violet(sorry i said lavender before 😛 ) undertone

i did try to look for the dupe in ur swathes whn i ahd 1st seen this post but all of em looking diffrnt in swatches than on lips …. so i gave up 😉

Ya I think it comes closest to Rose delicat. Rose delicat is quite pink..no lavender/violet undertone. Just a slight brown undertone.

Thanks Shalini 🙂 Plumalicious is a beautiful shade..slightly more plummy than how it appears in the photographs. It has a metallic sort of finish but the lipstick is super creamy. Revlon lipsticks never disappoint!

🙂 i also subscribed onceagain but sadly i just don’t seem to get any updates from your blog. in my next review i will put up a pic of my lips in loreal color riche “intense fuchia”….when i hadapplied the revlon colorburst fuchia i think it just did no look classy on me butthis one does look nice! and yeah , today i will hcek out fuchia ardent 4 in beige encasing and the other fushia 57 in purple encasing that u suggested 🙂
Revlon CB fuchsia is like a an explosion of pink..I’ll wait for your L’oreal color riche review and lip swatches! I can’t fathom why you’re not being notified of new posts.
