Aishwarya Rai Cannes 2011 inspired Blue and Bronze look
Hi everyone!
Today I’m doing a Blue and bronze look inspired by Aishwarya Rai’s Cannes 2011 makeup that she wore with the blue and white Armani Prive outfit.
I loved the blue used by the L’oreal artists on her lids but did not like the pairing with gold on the lower lash line. In my version of this makeup, I skipped the gold for a subtler coppery/bronze shade on the lower lash line.
Warm colors when paired with blues and green bring out their color because of the contrast and this is what I’ve done here. The blue shade used is a iridescent midnight blue shade (Read review HERE) and it quite bright , so I’ve kept the lip and cheek makeup understated with a nude warm lippy and bronzed cheeks for a balanced look.
The eye makeup is very simple and the most important product you need is a vibrant blue eyeshadow.
Products used :
EYES :
1. Bourjois ombre stretch eyeshadow #14 ‘Blue Nuit irise’
2. Coastal scents 88 palette (marked shade)
3. VOV pigment (copper/bronze shade)
4. Lotus Herbals kajal
5. Maybelline colossal volume mascara
6. MAC Blending brush 222
Steps:
1. Apply the blue shade all over lid. (Use primer first, I haven’t used one since I was testing the eyeshadow).
2. Blend the shade in the crease using marked shade from Coastal Scents palette and use it right upto the browbone.
3. Apply kohl on waterline.
4. Apply bronzer/coppery shade on lower lash line.
5. Finish off with mascara.
FACE :
1. Lotus Herbals Naturablend swift makeup ‘Creamy Peach’
2. Chambor silver shadow compact ‘RR2 Rose pale’
3. Maybelline expert wear blush ‘Apricot flush’
4. Revlon colorstay mineral finishing powder ‘Sunkiss Radieux’
LIPS :
1. Lakme enrich lipstick #133 from Fantasy collection.
2. MAC Cream color base ‘Improper copper’

Glowing Summer look with Bourjois Hi tech rouge tint and Revlon bronzer
Hi everyone!
This is the look I wore today using MAC Siahi fluidline and Bourjois hi tech rouge tint ‘Rose Pixel‘.
I used some different products than my usual for my face today and I quite liked the healthy glowing look it gave me.
Products used:
EYES :
1. MAC Siahi fluidline (on upper lash line and waterline)
2. Maybelline colossal volume mascara
FACE :
1. Lotus safe sun intensive sunscreen spray SPF 50
2. L’oreal true match minerals powder
3. Chambor silver shadow compact
4. Bourjois hi tech rouge tint ‘Rose pixel’
5. Revlon colorstay mineral finishing powder ‘Sunkiss Radieux’
6. The body shop face and body brush
7. The body shop blush brush
Steps:
1. After applying moisturizer and allowing to sink into the skin for 7-10 min, I applied the Bourjois lip/cheek stain on the apples of the cheeks and blended it using fingers.
2. Next, I applied Lotus spray sunscreen all over face and neck.
3. Since the sunscreen is slightly sticky in texture I skipped liquid/cream foundation and applied L’oreal true match minerals powder all over the face and neck.
4. Applied Chambor compact on T-zone for more matte coverage in the oily region.
5. Lastly, applied applied Revlon colorstay mineral finishing powder all over the cheeks.

Spring/Summer look#9 : Experiment with NYX 'Yellow' Jumbo pencil
Hi everyone!
This is an experiment I tried using NYX Jumbo eye pencil in the shade ‘Yellow‘. I wanted a yellow all over lid color with a hint of blue at the outer corner and crease but instead it turned out a milky-white with a hint of yellow and blue.
I paired the eye makeup with a bright pink lipstick for a colorful spring/summer look. This is definitely not a subtle look but the lighter (milky-white-yellow) shade in combination with the blue gives a bright look to the eyes. I’d pair this look with a monochrome outfit in greyed down shades of blue, green or safer neutral shades- balck, white and beige.
Here’s the final look –

EYES :
1. MAC Select moisture cover concealer NC 45.5
2. BeYu eye base

5. Coastal Scents 88 palette (marked yellow shade- lid, dark brown -crease )

7. Maybelline colossal volume mascara
8. VOV liquid black liner

'Barely Feline' look: Quick makeup with cat eyes and nude lips
Hi everyone!
Today I’m doing a cat eyes- nude lips look that can be worn in the daytime or evening and takes under 10 minutes to do. The only skill required is eye liner application to do the ‘cat’ eyes to add some oomph and drama to an otherwise regular look. Apart from the eyes, the look is very clean, fresh and simple with nude gloss and a hint of bronzer, hence I call it the ‘Barely Feline‘ look.
Cat eyes have been in trend for quite a while now and are a favorite with celebrities like Angeline Jolie, Taylor Swift, Rihanna to name a few. Pair it with nude lips or a dramatic pout, either way cat eyes give a glamorous touch to the face.
Summary of the look :
On a well moisturized face, conceal required areas and apply light foundation, set with powder. Using liquid/gel eye liner, apply thick line on upper lash line and wing it outwards and upwards (as shown). Apply kohl starting from inner corner all the way to the outer corner and join it with the wing to frame the eye. Apply nude natural pink gloss and a little bronzer under the cheekbones for a perfect summer look.
Some tips to get perfect cat eyes :
1. Frame the entire eyes, do not leave out the ends/corners. Start kohl at the inner corner and take it right to the outer corner. Tightline the eyes fully. Start eye liner application for upper lash line also from the inner corner.
2. Do not draw a very thin line. Keep the line medium/thick for the desired ‘cat’ eyes effect. Increase the thickness of the line as you move outwards. Thus the line should be thickest at the outer most corner.
3. Join the bottom of the ‘wing’ to the lower lash line for a continuous frame around the eyes.
4. Can add a little highlighter in the inner corners of the eyes for an extra pop of brightness to the eyes. (I have used a shimmery eyeshadow in the inner corners here)
5. Lastly, Practice eye liner application to get a perfect wing. It is not difficult at all and takes 4-5 trials to get it perfect.
Products used :
1. EYES : Maybelline drama gel liner, MAC Smolder kohl, Maybelline colossal volume mascara, Marie claire shimmery eyeshadow at inner corner
2. FACE: MAC Select moisture cover concealer NC 45.5, MAC Studio fix fluid foundation, Chambor silver shadow compact, Revlon sunkiss radieux (bronzer)
3. LIPS : Bourjois nouveau effet gloss 3D ’03 Brun rose academic’
